Yup, I’m asking that you tell 2 people, “you’re awesome” — TODAY!
Why?
For one, it boosts the other person’s confidence.
AND, according to science, it makes you feel good as well!
For a variety of reasons, people tend to shy away from acknowledging others.
It could be that you’re not feeling great about your current state of being, or maybe you’re feeling frustrated that you’re not progressing on a project, or perhaps you’re feeling angry and it’s being projected as jealousy towards others.
Any of these situations could potentially hold you back from recognizing and acknowledging the greatness in others and you.
Because…..remember, when you “see” greatness in others, it’s because you “see” it in yourself.
As you start to acknowledge others, it’s like sprinkling water on a flower, the greatness starts to grow.
By doing it more than once — in this case 2 times, you build momentum and elevate your own current state of being.
Perhaps you’ve already created some momentum. If so, awesome!
Consider that you can always use the power of acknowledgment to expand and grow into areas that you may not be aware of.
On the flip side, when you hold back from acknowledging others, you’re essentially storing energy in your body that wants to be released.
So, you might as well let it out.
On another note, do you consider yourself to be a competitive person?
Competition is typically considered to be a good thing. Personally, I love great competition.
However, sometimes competition can work against you; especially when it prevents you from acknowledging others. In this week’s video, I share some of my own insights on this subject matter and talk about the potential competitive traps you can fall into if you’re not aware.
Throughout the upcoming week, I encourage you to be aware of those moments when you start to compare yourself to and compete with others and the emotions that come up for you when you do so.
How do these moments feel?
I love hearing from you so please feel free to drop me a line.
Have a great rest of your week.
